- Tights

- Ballet shoes
- Hair pulled back completely off face and secured in a bun or similar style. Students with shorter hair can modify.
Contemporary Ballet
- Tights, leggings, or activewear that allows for free movement
- Leotard, T-shirt, or activewear top that covers the torso
- Socks with high cotton content or ballet shoes
- Hair pulled back completely off face and secured in a bun or similar style. Students with shorter hair can modify.
Modern
- Tights, leggings, or activewear that allows for free movement
- Leotard, T-shirt, or activewear top that covers the torso
- Bare feet
- Hair pulled back completely off face and secured in a bun or similar style. Students with shorter hair can modify.
Jazz
- Tights, leggings, or activewear that allows for free movement
- Leotard, T-shirt, or activewear top that covers the torso
- Jazz shoes

Hip Hop
- Leggings or activewear that allows for free movement
- Leotard, T-shirt, or activewear top that covers the torso
- Sneakers or boots
What's in a Dancer's Bag?
Below are some suggestions on what a fully- prepared dancer has in their bag. Not every item is going to be relevant for every dancer.

- Extra clothes for temperature fluctuation: warmups, jacket, shorts, legwarmers, sweats, etc.
- Deodorant
- Hair ties, bobby pins, hairspray or gel, brush
- Foot care in case of blisters: bandaids, burn/blister pads, toe tape
- Sewing kit
- All dance shoes
- Therabands, flexistretcher
- Water
- Healthy snacks
- Extra face masks
- Socks
- Knee pads
*Please note that wearing large or dangling jewelry can be very dangerous while dancing, as it can easily snag or get caught in hair/ clothing. We recommend dancers take jewelry off before class.
